This luncheon dialogue was convened by H.E. Ms. Inga Rhonda King, President of ECOSOC, and jointly organized by FES New York, the South Centre, and the UN's Financing for Development Office. This high-level meeting provided the opportunity to engage in a frank, informal and interactive dialogue on issues relating to the future of work and job creation in the realm of financing for development.

The event immediately preceded the Financing for Development Forum's Special High-level Meeting with the Bretton Woods institutions, World Trade Organization (WTO) and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The meeting was attended by high-level representatives of the Bretton Woods Institutions, WTO and UNCTAD, as well as ministers, vice ministers and high-level government officials and other guests invited by the President of ECOSOC.
