MSC Side Event: A Land for All

The unprecedented violence in Israel-Palestine and Lebanon over the past years highlights the urgent need for a just and sustainable solution to the conflict. The current ceasefire is essential, but it is only a first step towards achieving a just and lasting peace. A political vision for the post-Gaza War era that acknowledges the interdependence of Israelis and Palestinians is missing from current debates. Yet, the two-state solution envisioned by the Oslo process 30 years ago has grown increasingly misaligned from current realities. More than ever, the groundwork for an updated, relevant two-state solution is needed.

At this year’s Munich Security Conference, the International Peace Institute (IPI) and FES New York jointly hosted a roundtable to discuss the proposal of A Land for All, which envisions a confederation of two states on one homeland.
