Common Blueprint for Digital Transformations

Tech experts, government representatives and UN officials gathered at FES NY to discuss a Common Blueprint for Digital Transformations.

Alongside the Office of the UN Secretary-General's Technology Envoy (UN OSET) and the German Federal Foreign Office, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in New York co-hosted a "High-level Dialogue on the Common Blueprint for Digital Transformations" on Friday, September 15, 2023.

The meeting, held at FES New York, convened tech experts, Member States and UN officials who shared insights on why digital transformation is a vital component for progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how to implement the digital transformation process as proposed by the UN Secretary-General as part of developing a Global Digital Compact.

As the end-to-end guidance on digital transformation covering strategy, policymaking, human resource planning, investments, regulation, applications and sustainability, the Common Blueprint can also serve as a valuable resource for public sector capacity building on digital transformations, another priority underlined by the Secretary-General in his Policy Brief on the Global Digital Compact.
