UN Member States Advance the Agenda for Financing Sustainable Development

In a 2-day retreat, governments prepared to chart the way forward amidst an increasingly challenging global economy.

Mobilizing financing and other means of implementation for sustainable development will be high on the agenda in 2019. Major milestones leading up to the September meetings include the 2019 ECOSOC Financing for Development Forum and SDG Investment Fair in April and the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in July in the ECOSOC, and in September in the General Assembly. The retreat was organized jointly by FSDO/DESA, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung New York and the South Centre.
