The sixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61) took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 13 to 24 March 2017. Bringing together government representatives, experts, academics, and activists from around the globe, this reception aimed to strengthen existing networks, create new ones, and promote women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work. Brief remarks were delivered by members of the sponsoring organizations and our distinguished guests, Ms. Elke Ferner (SPD), (Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women, and Youth) and Ms. Cornelia Möhring (Deputy President of Parliamentary Group, Die Linke).
